5 SEO Tips to Get More Traffic to Your Link-in-Bio Page
Why SEO matters for link-in-bio pages
Most people think of link-in-bio pages as social media tools. But a well-optimized page can also rank on Google — bringing in visitors who have never seen your Instagram or TikTok profile.
Here are five things you can do right now to improve your page's search visibility.
1. Write a clear page title and description
In Link Studio, go to Settings → SEO on your page and fill in:
- Title — include your name or brand and what you do (e.g. "Jane Doe | Fitness Coach & Online Trainer")
- Description — one or two sentences that explain what visitors will find on your page
These show up directly in Google search results.
2. Use your real name or brand name in the URL
Your page slug matters. linkstudio.dev/p/jane-fitness-coach ranks better than linkstudio.dev/p/jd2024x. Choose a slug that matches how people search for you.
3. Add alt text to your images
Every image on your page should have descriptive alt text. Screen readers and search crawlers both use this text to understand your content. In the editor, click any image block and fill in the Alt text field.
4. Link to your page from your social profiles
Google uses links as a signal of authority. When your Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and TikTok bios all link to your Link Studio page, it tells Google that the page is worth ranking.
5. Keep your page updated
Fresh content is a positive ranking signal. Add new products, update your headline, or post new links regularly. Even small updates can help.
SEO is a long game, but these five steps give you a strong foundation. Start with your title and description today — it takes under five minutes and can make a real difference in your search rankings.
